Pleasant Lake Veterinary Hospital is committed to the core values of excellence in medical treatment, compassionate care, superior customer service and the love of animals. We are committed to creating a fear free environment for your furry friend.

Pleasant Lake Veterinary Hospital has been providing dedicated and compassionate veterinary medical care for over 54 years on the shores of beautiful Pleasant Lake in Elkins, New Hampshire.  PLVH is a full service veterinary hospital for companion animals that supports the New London-Dartmouth and Lake Sunapee Regions. Our staff understands the important role of animal companions in the lives of our clients and values, honors and nurtures those bonds in the care of your pets.

Dr. Timothy Sileo, VMD

Veterinarian and Owner

Dr. Sileo graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School in 2013, where he received his Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris. Upon graduating,he completed a one year internship in Connecticut where he treated all manner of species including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets and wildlife.

After practicing veterinary medicine in the Monadnock Region for several years he joined the team at PLVH in 2018. He purchased the practice in 2020 to continue the tradition of great care and high quality medicine your pets are used to. His goal being to create a fear free practice that encourages nonjudgmental, collaborative care.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his two dogs Bourbon and Rye and exploring the great outdoors.

Dr. Laura Pereira, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Laura Pereira grew up in Dover, NH and received a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Biology from Wheaton College in Norton, MA in 2012.  During her senior year in undergrad, she completed an Honor’s Thesis studying olfactory discrimination with giraffes at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon, MA. In 2017, she graduated the University of Illinois earning her DVM degree.  During her time at the University of Illinois, she volunteered at the wildlife clinic, completed all exotic animal rotations, and published a research article on coping styles in three-spined stickleback fish. While in veterinary school, Dr. Pereira also had the unique opportunity to volunteer at Darwin Animal Doctors in the Galapagos. She spent one yearafter graduation in Massachusetts before moving back to New Hampshire in 2018. 

Dr. Pereira has a special interest in working with exotic animals, dermatology, and ophthalmology. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her free time outdoors hiking, skiing, and kayaking. Dr. Pereira currently shares her home with two dogs Lily and Charlie and two cats Brady and Hazel.

Katie Gonzalez

Veterinary Technician 

Katie joined the staff in 2022, when she moved to New Hampshire from Rhode Island where she was a technician for 4 years. She has a bright and bubbly nature and is a great addition to our team. She loves fishing and being outdoors.

Ciara Gould

Veterinary Technician 

Ciara started with us in October of 2021. She has a big heart and an even bigger smile. As a New Hampshire native she enjoys hiking the great outdoors. She lives with her two dogs Clyde and Gizmo.

Lindsay Rogers

Veterinary Technician

Lindsay joined our staff in the spring of 2021. Originally from New Hampshire, she has traveled the world and brings us great perspective from her many travels. She lives with her forever companion Maple a Doberman-Lab Mix.

Kera Pilger

Practice Manager:

Kera Pilger joined the Pleasant Lake Veterinary Hospital team in April of 2017. A staple at PLVH, Kera is always there to ensure our clients have a great experience. She loves her cool cat, Ludo and her adorable beagle, Shiloh. Kera is known for her flair for organization and brings her unique sense of fun to the practice.

Dawn Pilger

Client Service Representative

Dawn joined the team at PLVH in the fall of 2020. She brings with her years of great customer service. She has a cheery attitude and big heart that is quite infectious. When not at work she enjoys trying new cuisine or spending time with her dog Ava and her cat Stickers.

Melissa Robertson

Client Service Representative 

Melissa joined our team at the start of 2021, coming to us with several years of customer service and veterinary assistant experience. She has a bright smile and warm demeanor. She lives with her cat Athena and and Cocker Spaniel Esa.
